A girl, not a child but not yet a woman, sat alone on a white-sanded beach in an unfamiliar land. Her father had been murdered by the kakos, and her mother, along with the rest of her people, were lost to a terrifying storm. Why she alone had been spared was a question without an answer. The sacred stone pressed against her skin, a gift from her father, held the key to the fate of all fair beings.
But she was not truly alone. Aerial stood by her side, though neither fully understood the true task. The zor, Mangus, and the alfar queen, Mirahl, along with so many others, fought to protect her path, but in the end, the task was hers.
